Viviana's Review:
I was so excited when I first found out Lara Adrian was release a companion book for her Midnight Breed series. I LOVE the series and devoured all 11 book. Yes, there are eleven books in the series, so you can imagine that's a lot of information and characters to keep straight and remember all the details.
This was the perfect companion book as it not only included the main characters and their information, but almost every character that have been part of the series. It also includes tidbits of how the stories came about.  It was great to get to be able to get to know the characters a bit better as again, when reading the series, I devoured it and now to be able to go back and say "oh yeah. I had forgotten about that" was a good feeling!

One of the things I loved most is that Lara had provided her readers with the opportunity to ask her questions about the series as well as ask the characters themselves questions. I had many the same questions the readers did and it was awesome to get those answered!! Oh and the section with the questions for the Breed and their Mates, it was so much fun to read!

It doesn't surprise me that Lara took the time to not only answer her readers questions, but actually involved them in the project! She is a kind soul with a wonderful heart. She appreciates and loves her readers! My husband and I met Lara at the RT Book Lover convention in Kansas City, Missouri this year. I was elated when it was confirmed that she would be attending. Bonus that not only was she participating in the HUGE book signing that was occurring that Saturday, but she was also participating in the smaller, indie book signing, which was on Thursday. I had brought with me ALL ten of the books I owned to see if she would be able to sign them. I thought it was a long shot and I truly didn't want to impose nor take up more time from her to attend to her other readers. On Thursday's book signing, we got there when it first opened and I was checking things out. The crowds were not as big as I had anticipated, yet again, it was early on. I spotted her table, but I hadn't brought the books with me, because I didn't want to impose. So a paced a little and DH took my hand and said "Why don't you ask her? See if this would be a good time or if there's an alternative option. She may have a plan as I'm sure you're not the only reader with such a request."  I smiled and mustered up my courage to approach her and ask. I was nervous, what can I say! As I approached, she looked up and smiled. She immediately said hello and was so welcoming, we just started chatting. Told her how I loved her Midnight Breed Series and will be reading her other series soon. I took the plunge and asked her if she would be so kind as to sign my books, the entire series and continued with the "I know it's a lot, so please let me know if it's too much, I understand..." She stopped me right there, smiling and said, "Of Course! Where are they?" I let her know that DH would go get them from our room and we just hung out chatting. She signed them ALL! We took pictures and again, I let her know how much I appreciated it that she took the time. It was a great experience!

This already awesome book does include "A Touch of Midnight (Novella)" which s a prequel to the series and Gideon's and Savannah's story. I think this is one story we all have all been waiting for. I was thinking of reviewing "A Touch of Midnight" on this post as well, but as it's also sold separately from the companion book, I'll think I'll give it some individual attention! You can find the review here  if you wish to know my thoughts!
