Cover Reveal: Midnight Prince by K. Loraine

Woohoo check out K. Loraine's cover for her upcoming release!!

MIDNIGHT PRINCE
(Book One in the Blackthorne Bloodlines Duet)
by K. Loraine

Blurb:

Our story begins the same as any ill-fated romance. Two households, two families, two species that should never be together.
These are the recipe for tragic, beautiful love, fated to end in flames.

She is my doom. She is my destiny. Unavoidable, impossible to deny, and painful to ignore.

They call me Bastard Prince, a half-breed unworthy of a true title. But I still have to follow the rules. Serve the Blackthorne vampire bloodline.

A shifter and a vampire are forbidden to be together. The law declares it so. But Briar is mine, and I’ll fight family and constitution to the death in order to keep her.

Midnight Prince is the first of an all new series in the Blackthorne Vampires world. It CAN BE READ without reading The Blood Trilogy, but it's recommended to read all three previous books (Blood Captive, Blood Traitor, Blood Heir) to avoid any minor spoilers.

Release Date:

Book Review: Crave by Felicity Heaton

Crave
(Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series #2)
By Felicity Heaton

Synopsis:

His mind has been set on his work for the past one hundred years. Now a forbidden beauty has stolen his attention and is threatening to steal his heart too.

Callum has come to the city of romance on business, not pleasure, but when he sets eyes on a gorgeous werewolf in a nightclub, he can’t ignore the dark carnal craving she ignites in him. His work for Vampirerotique, the erotic theatre he runs with three other vampires, can wait. The only thing that matters now is satisfying his sinful hunger for a woman who most vampires would consider an enemy.

Kristina is on the run from her pack. Her alpha is intent on forcing her to bear his child and she’s not about to live through the same nightmare as her mother had. When a tall, dark and sexy vampire catches her eye, she can’t believe the ferocity of the desire he unleashes in her or the fact that she enjoys the feel of his eyes on her and his silent pursuit of her in the clubs each night.

When Kristina finally gets a taste of Callum in a forbidden kiss, will she be strong enough to resist the allure of the vampire and his offer to share his bed for a week of unbridled, wild sex, or will she surrender to her own craving for the safety and passion she finds in his embrace?

Guest Post & Giveaway: Devious Minds by Colleen Helme

Please welcome Colleen Helme to Enchantress of Books!!

DEVIOUS MINDS is the eighth book in the Shelby Nichols Adventure Series, and I can’t tell you how exciting it is to make it to this point. When I began writing the first book, CARROTS, I never imagined that it would turn into a series with this many books. But with each book, Shelby has grown as a character, and it’s been so fun to see her growth and the direction the books have taken.

I am a ‘discovery’ writer and, as such, I don’t have an outline or a plan when I begin a book, let alone a series. So with each book, I take an idea and run with it. Since I’m not a fan of cliff-hanger endings and unresolved issues, I make sure that each book is complete with the major elements of the mystery resolved. Within that context, I try to leave little hints of what might be coming up for Shelby in the next book. But it might surprise you to know that when I do this, I never know how that hint will play out until I start writing the book, so I’m as much in the dark as the reader!

Because I had always wanted to visit Paris, I planted the hint for Shelby to travel there in book seven, CROSSING DANGER. That way, I had to take a trip to Paris, right? When I finished writing CROSSING DANGER, I still had no idea what would happen in Paris, but I was excited to figure it out. Even better, I could use some of my own experiences from my visit there, what could be better than that?

Now that DEVIOUS MINDS is done, I am looking forward to writing the next book. I left a couple of hints for what’s coming up, but I don’t know exactly where they will take Shelby. It could be anywhere from Washington D.C. to Las Vegas, Nevada, or somewhere in-between. All I know for sure is... it will certainly be an adventure!

Thanks for hosting me.

Alright everyone! Find out more about the book, the series and Colleen below! And don't forget to enter the giveaway!!!

Devious Minds
(A Shelby Nichols Adventure Series #8)
by Colleen Helme

Blurb:
It’s been almost a year since a near-fatal gunshot wound left Shelby Nichols with the ability to read minds. In that time she’s faced one problem after another. She’s been shot at, framed for murder, and targeted by a serial killer, just to name a few. Now she’s trying to help her lawyer husband win a murder trial that will enable him to become a partner in his law firm. Sounds easy, right? But nothing ever goes as planned when it comes to Shelby Nichols.

When special agent, Blake Beauchaine, shows up to collect a debt from Shelby, things get even more complicated, and Shelby is soon on her way to Paris. A routine meeting with a rogue agent reveals a sinister plot, putting Shelby into the cross-hairs of a known terrorist. Even worse, she doesn’t speak French, so it seems her mind-reading abilities won’t help her this time.

Things go from bad to downright dangerous for Shelby, especially since her usual guardians, Uncle Joey, and his hit-man, Ramos, are back in the states. Lost and on her own in the streets of Paris, can Shelby escape the cold-blooded killer in time to stop his devious plans, or will this be the end of the line for Shelby Nichols?

Excerpts

By the time we got to the sixth floor, I was eager to get out. Blake hid a smile at my nerves, and took off down the hall. He took out his keys and unlocked a door at the very end of the hall. As it swung open, my breath caught at the view from the window.

“Is that Notre-Dame?” I gasped.

He chuckled. “Actually, that’s The Hôtel de Ville where the city’s local administration is housed. The buildings just beyond those are on the Ile-de-la-Cité where Notre-Dame is located. In the distance, you can just make out the cathedral’s spire from here.”

“Oh yes, I see it now.”

“All of those buildings are actually on an island in the river Seine. In fact, Notre-Dame was built at the same spot where the Romans built a temple to Jupiter. The cathedral was first built in the twelfth century, but through the years, and because of the revolution, it fell into disrepair. If it wasn’t for Victor Hugo and his book, it may have been destroyed.”

“Wow. I didn’t know that.”

“Your room is this way,” he said. “Why don’t you get settled, and then we’ll go exploring?”

“Okay!” He didn’t have to ask me twice. The bedrooms were on the other side of the living room and small kitchen and were larger than I’d expected. “I thought you said this apartment was small.”

He shrugged. “These bedrooms used to be part of another apartment, but I was able to buy it and put in these rooms and bathrooms. You can use that bedroom.” He motioned to the bedroom with billowing curtains framing another open window which looked out over the city. “My housekeeper must have opened the windows to air the place out when she came in this morning.”

It was a little chilly, but I rushed over to look out the windows. The view was breathtaking. “This is perfect!”

“Good,” he said, clearly pleased with my reaction. “I’ll leave you to get settled.”

The door shut behind him, and I glanced around the room. A queen sized bed with a metal frame took up most of the space, and two bed-stands with lamps flanked either side. A large wooden dresser with a mirror stood on the opposite wall.

A door beside the dresser opened into a small bathroom, with the shower and basin all done in beautiful tile work. Fresh towels and soap, along with an array of small bottles of lotions and shampoo, lined the countertop.

This was amazing. I heaved a sigh, happy and grateful I’d come. I could hardly believe I’d almost chickened out. I would have missed this! I hurried back to the bedroom and unloaded my suitcase, placing my toiletries in the bathroom and my clothes in the dresser, then shoved my empty suitcase under the bed.

I quickly changed into a fresh blouse and my favorite black jeans and boots, then hurried into the bathroom to brush my teeth. After combing my hair and updating my make-up, I was ready to go. But first I needed to call Chris. The phone rang for the longest time before he finally picked up.

Release Day Blitz: The Unseelie King by Heather Killough-Walden

The Unseelie King
(The Kings Series, Book #6)
By Heather Killough-Walden

Blurb:
For thousands of years, two realms of unspeakable magic and mystery have existed in peace side by side. One is a land of light, of kindness, of dreams, and of color. The other is rendered in the gray lines of wickedness and seeped in the unbearable beauty of all that is forbidden. The first is ruled by the Seelie King. The other is ruled by Caliban… The Unholy.

Minerva Trystaine has always been the quiet twin, bullied by reality’s fierceness into a life of solitary sensitivity. What she witnesses, she feels. Living in a world that breeds one misfortune after another, she has had no choice but to sequester herself from outgoing life and any hope it might have otherwise offered her. She hides in her music, her hopes and dreams silent but for the harmony she gives them upon rare occasion, allowing them to be heard in perfect pitch by the rest of the world.

But when Minerva’s sister, Selene, is forced into a fantastical  realm of supernatural magic and mystery and taken as queen of the seelie kingdom, the twins are reunited with a world they can scarcely remember – but could never forget. They are Wishers. Born of furious magic and fueled by the need for justice, Wishers are the most feared magic users in the fae realms. For this reason, they were all but annihilated thousands of years ago. Minerva and her sister are the last of a slaughtered breed.

Just as Selene accepts her place on the seelie throne, Minerva struggles to come to grips with her changed world. But as she faces off with her lost-and-found identity, and with the unbelievable power swimming through her veins, she realizes she must also contend with the fact that Wishers are no more safe in this day and age than they were millennia ago. Someone wants her dead.

And the one man she should probably fear most, the one fae lord more dangerous than any other, the notorious and cruel Leanan King – just happens to be the only man in all the realms who can protect her.
The Unseelie King is the sixth book in Heather Killough-Walden’s acclaimed paranormal romance series, The Kings. Within its pages, a dark lord finds long lost hope in a beautiful, powerful soul, a lost spirit finds faith in tempting and forbidden magic, and a fierce and willful love finds the unbelievable strength to do what must be done to survive against overwhelming odds.

About the Author

A NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY bestseller, Kathryn Shay is a lifelong writer. At fifteen, she penned her first ‘romance,’ a short story about a female newspaper reporter in New York City and her fight to make a name for herself in a world of male journalists – and with one hardheaded editor in particular. Looking back, Kathryn says she should have known then that writing was in her future. But as so often happens, fate sent her detouring down another path.

Fully intending to pursue her dream of big city lights and success in the literary world, Kathryn took every creative writing class available at the small private women’s college she attended in upstate New York. Instead, other dreams took precedence. She met and subsequently married a wonderful guy who’d attended a neighboring school, then completed her practice teaching, a requirement for the education degree she never intended to use. “But,” says Kathryn, “I fell in love with teaching the first day I was up in front of a class, and knew I was meant to do that.”

Kathryn went on to build a successful career in the New York state school system, thoroughly enjoying her work with adolescents. But by the early 1990s, she’d again made room in her life for writing. It was then that she submitted her first manuscript to publishers and agents. Despite enduring two years of rejections, she persevered. And on a snowy December afternoon in 1994, Kathryn sold her first book to Harlequin Superromance.

To this date, Kathryn has written a total of fifty-two books: thirty-six romances with the Berkley Publishing Group and Harlequin Enterprises, 1 mainstream women’s fiction with Bold Strokes Books and fifteen original independently published romances. There are over five million copies of her books in print, along with hundreds of thousands downloaded online.

Kathryn has won five RT Book Reviews awards, four Golden Quill Awards, four Holt Medallions, the Bookseller’s Best Award, Foreword Magazine’s Book of the Year and several “Starred Reviews.” Her novels have been serialized in COSMOPOLITAN magazine and featured in USA TODAY, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL and PEOPLE magazine. Her work has made the NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY, Amazon, Apple and Barnes and Noble bestseller lists. There are over five million copies of her books in print, along with hundreds of thousands downloaded online.

Even in light of her writing success, that initial love of teaching never wavered for Kathryn. She finished out her teaching career in 2004, retiring from the same school where her career began. These days, she splits her time between a home in upstate New York and a condo on the beach in Florida.

“My life is very full,” she reports, “but very happy. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to pursue and achieve my dreams.”
