The Audiobook Lovin' Series is a month long event celebrating audiobooks, brought you by Viviana, Enchantress of Books. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the Audiobook Lovin’ Series, a milestone that fills me with so much pride and gratitude. For the past 7 years, I’ve run this series completely solo. Every detail, every post, every bit of planning and coordination… all me.
But here’s the truth and full transparency: there’s been a LOT of things going on in my life and thankfully mostly all have been good! But with so many balls up in the air, juggling all the cool stuff that has been happening and more that have yet to be revealed and doing it all alone has taken a toll. And while I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built, I’ve finally realized something important… I NEED to give myself permission to do things differently.
This series has always been a labor of love, and it still is. These last couple of months, I’ve been worried and stressed out about disappointing the listeners, the authors and narrators that look forward to the annual celebration of audiobooks and the community that occurs on the Audiobook Loving Series. In the spiraling that was occuring mentally and emotionally, a voice broke through the chaos saying “GIRL! NO ONE expects you to be perfect and do EVERYTHING. This is YOUR series!” and my aha moment became VERY Bright! It’s MY series and I get to reshape it in ways that support my peace, my passion, and yes, my sanity. 😅
So, things are going to look a little different in 2025 and who knows, perhaps even moving forward. Maybe less content. Maybe more collaborations. Maybe just more space to breathe. Whatever it is, know it’s coming from a place of growth, love, and the desire to keep this series going without burning out.
I’m not going to worry or stress about it! We have 10 YEARS worth of episodes and considering the series runs all month long in JUNE with usually daily episodes, that’s quite an extensive catalog that can be enjoyed either for the first time or as a comfy relisten. In fact there is some content from the first four years that some may not know about as it was prior to us recording as we do now and making things available wide.
