Guest Post and Giveaway: Fighting Fate by Carrie Ann Ryan

Hi Everyone!! I'm excited to have both author Carrie Ann Ryan and Logan Anderson with us today!! I'm going to sit back and enjoy this interview that Carrie Ann is going to have with Logan. I suspect its going to be interesting!!

Every once in a while I like to step back and interview my characters. Yes, that seems I’m talking to myself while I do so, but shh. Every author has a right to be a little eccentric. Right? Tee hee. So who am I interviewing today? From Fighting Fate, I have my hero Logan!

Carrie Ann: Hi, Logan. Thanks for taking the time to sit with me.

Logan: Thanks for having me.
Carrie Ann: Usually I do interviews you and Cailin together, but I thought this time I’d sit down with each of you separately. I’ll be interviewing Cailin a little later for different blogs.

Logan: I don’t mind, now, what did you want to ask me?

Carrie Ann: Tell me what life was like before you met Cailin.

Logan: *frowns* I lived my life on the run. I ran from the world and hid because I needed to keep my sister and her son safe. Once we weren’t running anymore, I needed to protect my new Pack. I hid the darkness away and worked toward being a wolf worth something. I only hope I’ve achieved that.

Carrie Ann: You have, Logan. You know that. Now, tell me more about Cailin.

Logan: *grins* She’s my mate. What more do I need to say? *holds up hands* I’m kidding. She’s more than just mine. She’s the strongest wolf I know. She’s perfect for me. Not perfect in general, but she’s never wanted to be.

Carrie Ann: Is there anything special you want to tell me about her? What’s your favorite part about her?

Logan: Her eyes. Her smile. The way she sighs when she leans into me. The way she stands by my side and fights when I would rather protect her from the world and its not-so-hidden dangers.

Carrie Ann: *happy sighs* Okay, now fun ones. Chocolate or vanilla?

Logan: *grins* Vanilla ice cream…licked off my mate.

Carrie Ann: *fans self* Okay, so, ah, I guess I should let you go back to your mate. Thanks for stopping by and readers, if you have any questions for me and Logan, let me know!

Yup! Logan definately knows how to keep things interesting! Thanks again Carrien Ann and Logan for hanging out with us. Alright folks! Excerpt:

She knew what the others saw when they looked at her, the raven-black hair, the light green eyes. So many others had told her she was one of the most beautiful people they’d ever seen. What a load of crap. Even if they weren’t just saying that because of who she was, she wouldn’t take it at face value. She’d seen true beauty in the selfless acts of her sisters and friends. They were the beautiful ones. Cailin usually responded to those who spoke only of her looks that they hadn’t seen that many people. Most didn’t see beyond the surface, beyond the blood in her veins.

Someone murmured something behind her, and she blinked, forcing her attention to what was going on in front of her rather than wallowing in the shames she should have buried. Shames that weren’t really shames at all, not in the grand scheme of things. She’d always tried to be so strong for others, and in turn, hadn’t treated those she now loved with the respect they deserved. She’d tried to fix that over time, but she wasn’t sure she was worth it. Others worried so much for her and her safety, she knew they weren’t taking care of themselves like they should. She needed to stop acting so self-centered, so hurt and broken when it was her own doing.

Fighting Fate
(The Redwood Pack Series, Book 7)
By Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:

With her blue-black hair and striking green eyes, Cailin Jamenson is the epitome of beauty and the exemplar of strength. She has fought the enforced boundaries of being the lone Jamenson daughter and Redwood Pack princess, but it is the potential future with the dark wolf in her path that threatens everything she thought she desired.

Logan Anderson’s own darkness provided the reasoning for his abandonment of his former Pack, the Talons. Now, newly accepted into the Redwood Pack, this jade-eyed wolf and all she represents could be his own undoing.

In this final installment of the Redwood Pack, unimaginable tragedy strikes, and the two wolves who have fought the longest for their independence now face the uncertainty of fate and the epic battle that could end the war… and their lives.

About the Author

USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born.

Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn't planning on giving up her dream anytime soon.
