Blurb:

A Woman On A Mission

Grace Clark has always done things safe. She's never colored outside of the law, but she has a book due and has found the perfect spot to break through her writer's block. Or so she thinks. Right up until Arian suddenly appears and tries to force her away from the mountain. Unaware of the war she just stumbled into, Grace doesn't just discover the perfect place to write, she finds Arian - the most gorgeous, enticing, mysterious man she's ever met.

A King With a Purpose

Arian is a Dragon King who has slept away centuries in his cave. Recently woken, he's about to leave his mountain to join his brethren in a war when he's alerted that someone has crossed onto Dreagan. He's ready to fight...until he sees the woman. She's innocent and mortal - and she sets his blood aflame. He recognizes the danger approaching her just as the dragon within him demands he claim her for his own...

Viviana's Review:
A new Dragon King has to be awoken to fight in the upcoming war.  You can imagine his surprise when he finds a woman typing away on her laptop too engrossed in what she is writing to notice she is no longer alone.

And so the story of Arian and Grace.  While it’s a novella and I was a tad bit concerned…  let me take a step back… I love this series!  I love how Donna has kept her readers guessing about a certain Fae and Dragon King and the world she has created.  My concern was more along the lines of wanting things to continue to progress and how things were going to fit onto less pages.  As a reader you want certain characters to make an appearance or a substory to continue and that has been the case with all the previous books.  Not so the case here which is how a story fits into a “novella”.  This novella is entirely only about Arian and Grace!  It works and we get to know them and their story.  While we may miss the rest of the cast of characters they will be back soon.

Speaking of characters, Con is in this one and we do get to know more about him and confirmation, if we needed it, that he is an Asshole is provided in this installment.  One question that we have all been dying to know or rather confirm is asked but in true Con form he doesn’t reply but his actions do.

Back to Arian and Grace… For a second I wondered if Grace was inspired by Donna herself or a fellow writer friend, you see, from the blurb she’s a writer suffering from writer’s block and finds inspiration in Arian’s cave!

There is instant chemistry and that feeling of “yeah I feel safe with you” and “I trust you even though I just met you” going on between the two.  The story is a nice mix of getting to know each other and steaminess.

This was a good read to hold us over until the next Dark King book release.  There weren’t any major revelations, but it is a good story.  The kind where readers know the world and characters and want to see what’s going on.  Of course we end up wanting more.  Or in my case IMing Kelly from Books-n-Kisses and chatting about how much of an ass Con is.  Of if we think Donna will tell us who is Rhy’s Dragon King, LOL.

Rating: 4 Stars - LOVED IT
