Viviana's Review:

This was a great start to the third installment of the Dark Kings Series. I loved the previous books and have been looking forward to learning more about Kiril and what happens next in war with the the Dark Fae! Seems like serials are becoming more and more popular and publishers are testing the waters/market to see if people are willing to purchase the individual parts to a novel that will be released in its entirety at a later date. If you're okay with 'cliff hangers', or having to wait to the next installment is released to find out what happens, then, grab this!

I've been curious about Kiril and the "oh wonder who he is going to end up with" from the first moment he was introduced. He keeps things interesting to the very end and that is one of the reasons I love him! LOL.

In this first installment, we find Kiril where we left him in "Fire Rising (bk 2)" in Ireland trying to learn more about what the Dark Faes are up to and to find Rhi. From the blurb, you know Shara is a Dark Fae who is sent to seduce and help capture Kiril. You also know there is an instant connection and desire between the two. They both know this is a game a game of cat and mouse. He is on to her immediately and knows she is a Dark Fae yet there is something about her that he can't figure out. She believes the plan is simple - seduce the Dragon King and her life will be as it should. However, deep down, she knows life for her will never be 'normal' as she's not your normal Dark Fae. She is also finding it difficult to betray the man that has causes her to feel things she has never felt before.

Donna Grant has done a fantastic job in keeping the reader engrossed in the story and wanting more. The world created is awesome and makes you want to move to Scotland and find a Dragon King for yourself.

Overall, the first installment keeps you wanting more and it's a great read!

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It!
