Tempt Me Tuesday with Mad Hatter Reads 9/15/2015

Tempt Me Tuesday

Happy Release Day or as we like to call it Temp Me Tuesday!!!
Mad Hatter Read has some awesome temptation for you this week!!!

Happy Tuesday! I’m so sorry I missed last week’s Tempt Me Tuesday. My laptop decided it didn’t want to work for me. *sigh* Fortunately after a trip to my IT department at work I’m back up and rolling (without having to shell out for a new laptop!). Yay! So without any further ado here’s this week’s temptations. Is there anything you’ve been looking forward to?

A Red-Rose Chain (October Daye, #9) by Seanan McGuire

A Red-Rose Chain (October Daye, #9)Things are looking up.
For the first time in what feels like years, October “Toby” Daye has been able to pause long enough to take a breath and look at her life—and she likes what she sees. She has friends. She has allies. She has a squire to train and a King of Cats to love, and maybe, just maybe, she can let her guard down for a change.
Or not. When Queen Windermere’s seneschal is elf-shot and thrown into an enchanted sleep by agents from the neighboring Kingdom of Silences, Toby finds herself in a role she never expected to play: that of a diplomat. She must travel to Portland, Oregon, to convince King Rhys of Silences not to go to war against the Mists. But nothing is that simple, and what October finds in Silences is worse than she would ever have imagined.
How far will Toby go when lives are on the line, and when allies both old and new are threatened by a force she had never expected to face again? How much is October willing to give up, and how much is she willing to change? In Faerie, what’s past is never really gone.
It’s just waiting for an opportunity to pounce.

A Tiger's Bride (A Lion’s Pride, #4) by Eve Langlais

A Tiger's Bride (A Lion's Pride, #4)When at first you don’t succeed—turn to abduction.
It’s all in a day’s work when this Siberian tiger meets the woman he wants.
An accidental kidnapping? Check.
A forced marriage? Check.
A virgin bride? Damn. There go his plans for seduction and here comes the pressure into making her first time perfect. Because everyone knows that's the one she'll remember, forever. Gulp.
Add in a plane crash as well as hunters out to capture them and the heat is truly on.
Can this Siberian tiger meet the challenge?

Abandoned and Unseen (Branded Packs, #2) by Alexandra Ivy & Carrie Ann Ryan

Abandoned and Unseen (Branded Packs, #2)Abandoned
When bear shifter, Anya Tucker fell in love with the wrong man, the only thing she left with was a broken heart—and her two bear cubs. Now she’s mended her wounds and learned that in order to raise her babies she can only trust herself. When her sons meet the lazy cat next door and fall heads over tails for him, she’ll do whatever she takes to protect them—even from a past she’d thought she’d left behind.
Cole McDermott is a jaguar on a mission. Long naps, a willing woman, and a full stomach is usually all he needs when it comes to relaxing after a long day of protecting his Pack. Then he meets Anya and the burn of temptation is silky and tantalizing indeed. When a horror from Anya’s past threatens everything she loves, Cole will put everything aside and fight for her family—as well as his own.
Unseen
Nicole Bradley had no reason to live after the humans murdered her son. Not until she learns to hunt down those responsible for his death. Shifting into her wolf form at night, she slips out of the compound, determined to do as much damage as possible. The last thing she expected was to discover secrets that could destroy the SAU.
Polar shifter, Tucker Stone, lives off the grid. It’s the only way the Unseen can avoid being rounded up by the humans and tossed into a compound. Besides, he’s a loner by nature. But he can’t walk away when he sees the pretty female wolf in danger. Risking exposure, he takes her to his hidden den and tries to heal her wounds.
Can a reclusive polar bear and a wolf with a death wish find happiness together?

Devil's Playground (Kris Chase, #2) by Gena D. Lutz

Devil's Playground (Kris Chase Book 2)To repay a debt, necromancer Kris Chase finds herself slinging drinks behind the bar of a well-known supes club, Devil’s Playground. But that doesn’t mean her life has settled into anything resembling normal. Vampire kills are still on the rise, and now, a new enemy has surfaced.
Battered bodies of the young and beautiful are popping up everywhere. And true to form, the ghost of one of the victims implores Kris for help.
As Kris delves deeper into the case, she suspects that the murderers are monstrous enemies from her past, and when vital clues are uncovered, helping to prove her hunch, she sets out to find the perpetrators behind the brutal slayings.

Harmonia's Kiss (Dragonfire, #4.5) by Deborah Cooke

Harmonia's Kiss (Dragonfire, #4.5)Enchanted for thousands of years, the shapeshifters known as the Dragon’s Tooth Warriors have awakened to find the world a vastly different place. Their leader, concerned for their morale, dares to take them on a mission to confront the fullness of everything they’ve lost.
Little does Drake realize that this dangerous mission will give him a renewed purpose. And if they succeed these Pyr will have to question everything they thought they knew about the past—and confront a quest for the future.
This short story evolved out of an out-take from WINTER KISS, and features the Dragon's Teeth Warriors. Because I liked the original scenes, it grew into a short story in its own right. It has romantic elements but is not a romance, in itself. I recommend reading it before WHISPER KISS.

Hexomancy (Ree Reyes, #3) by Michael R. Underwood

Hexomancy (Ree Reyes, #3)Fan-favorite urban fantasista Ree Reyes and her crew of Geekomancers—humans that derive supernatural powers from pop culture—take on their biggest foes yet in this fourth book of the Geekomancy series.
When Ree’s long time nemesis Lucretia is finally brought to trial and found guilty for the deadly attack on Grognard’s, the Geekomancer community breathes a collective sigh of relief. But Ree and her crew soon discover that Lucretia has three very angry, very dangerous sisters who won’t rest until Eastwood—a fellow Geekomancer—is killed.
What follows is an adventure packed with epic battles, a bit of romance, and enough geeky W00t moments to fill your monthly quota of adventure and fun.

Island of Graves (Unwanteds, #6) by Lisa McMann

Island of Graves (Unwanteds, #6)On the brink of war, the fates of both Artimé and Quill are at stake in book six of the New York Times bestselling Unwanteds series, which Kirkus Reviews called “The Hunger Games meets Harry Potter.”
Alex and Aaron Stowe are at a crossroads.
Everything Aaron has worked so hard to build in Quill has crumbled. Fallen from the height of power and influence and left for dead in a foreign place, Aaron has lost everything, and now he must humbly beg for food from those who saved his life.
In Artimé, Alex chooses his people over his brother and abandons his search for Aaron, closing the door on that relationship forever. The Artimeans need his focus now more than ever as they face the terrifying power of a new enemy who has taken control of Quill—the notoriously evil Gondoleery Rattrapp.
Desperate to stop her, Alex embarks on a risky mission to enlist help from an unlikely ally, and along the way he’s determined to rescue a lone sailor from monstrous beasts with mysterious origins—a sailor who just might show Alex a different world. As he prepares for an epic war with all of Quill and Artime hanging in the balance, Alex must place his faith in a reckless plan...and hope that he and all of his friends make it through alive.

Surrender (The Elfin, #3) by Quinn Loftis

Surrender (The Elfin #3)“So I just might die a virgin after all. That’s what sucks about the end of the world, you just don’t plan for it and once it’s upon you it’s too late. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had time to actually write anything down, which sucks because more has happened in my life in the past three weeks than it has in all my seventeen, (soon to be eighteen) years. So I’m going to give you a quick recap, because my diary is totally a living breathing thing and really cares…not.
Basically we are on the run from Lorsan, the dark elf king, while also looking for the Book of the Elves, which he stole (butt head), while at the same time attempting to shut down the sale of Rapture, a liquid drug the dark elves devised to enslave the human race. If you ask me their goals are a little lofty, but then nobody asked me, and therein lies their problem. But our problems don’t end there. On top of trying to get Rapture out of the human realm and taking out Lorsan, we also have to rescue Cassie’s parents. Apparently there’s a dark elf who is delusional and believes Cassie is his Chosen reincarnated. So naturally he thought kidnapping her parents would win her heart. Loser. What happen to love notes and flowers? Anyways, now you’re caught up, roughly. The point is, life is about as jacked up as it can get at the moment. I would like to be able to give some Braveheart worthy speech and say that we totally got this, but honestly, I have no idea if we can pull this off.” ~ Elora
