Release Day Blitz: “City of the Fallen” By Diana Bocco

Five years ago, vampires came out of hiding and took over the world. It was meant to be a quick enslavement but it turned into a bloody battle that brought humanity to the brink of extinction.

Isabelle Bryant is one of the “lucky” survivors, now living in hiding, scavenging for food through deserted towns.

And she’s tired of it.

So she’s devised a plan: find the king of the vampires and drive a stake through his heart.

Except that wickedly sensual king Marcus is nothing like the monster she expected. And while landing on his bed was part of the plan all along, discovering that he might hold the key to humanity’s survival certainly wasn’t. The catch? Saving humanity also means ensuring vampire survival. It means giving up hope for a return to a human-ruled world.

As sparks fly and hate becomes heat, Isabelle must pick a side -- before the darkness devours them all.

His eyes were locked on hers. “Are you afraid of me?”

Guest Post: What Makes an Alpha an Alpha? By Selena Blake

Let's give a warm welcome to Author Selena Blake! She's here to talk about one of our favorite subjects "Alphas"!!

What Makes an Alpha an Alpha?
By Selena Blake

Most of the men I write about are alpha males. It's really no surprise to me that the alpha draws readers and authors alike.

Up until recently, I've written mostly paranormal romance and the occasional short contemporary. Some of my leading men are more "alpha" than others, but they all share similar traits. It's these qualities, among others, that I (and most of my readers) consider attractive, even sexy.

Book Review: Colors like Memories by Meradeth Houston

Colors Like Memories
By Meradeth Houston

Julia has a secret: she killed the guy she loved. It was an accident—sort of.

Julia is a Sary, the soul of a child who died before taking her first breath. Without this 'breath of life' she and others like her must help those on the verge of suicide. It's a job Julia used to enjoy, until the accident that claimed her boyfriend’s life—an accident she knows was her fault. If living with the guilt weren't enough, she's now assigned to help a girl dealing with the loss of her mother, something Julia's not exactly the best role model for. If she can't figure out a way to help her, Julia's going to lose her position in the Sary, something she swore to her boyfriend would never happen.

Candie's Review:
I LOVED the opening line of the book- “I greeted his tombstone the way I always did—with a swift kick.” It made me smile and definitely caught my attention. I couldn't wait to find out what the person may have done to incite such a greeting.

Guest Post & Giveaway: Shattered Into Beautiful by Mel Ballew

Welcome Mel Ballew to Enchantress of Books

Whether it is romantic, emotional, intellectual or sexual, all character building involves some sort of tension, per se’.  For me, while building prose, I delve into really allowing the characters voices to permeate my brain -  literally.  They style of writing is key with this story & more integral to the overall flow of its delivery.  Dealing with a paranormal aspect it needed to be somewhat darker, especially with housing a contemporary erotica flavor.  The lighter side comes into play with properly executing the emotional and intellectual development.  I hope I have done it justice!

That guides me into explaining how I did this…

Guest Post & GIveaway: Gravity by Dannika Dark

Extremely happy to have Dannika Dark with us today sharing with us a recent visit
she had with Silver!!

Thank you Enchantress for having me! Love our visits and always look forward to them!

I decided to drop in on Silver to check on her while in town this week. She left me a text message and seemed stressed over something. Justus answered the door all sweaty, wearing a black tank top and sweats. He wrapped a small towel around the back of his neck and nodded toward the kitchen before walking down the hallway and disappearing out of sight.

Book Review: Tidal by Emily Snow

By Emily Snow

Now that Willow Avery is out of rehab, she's got one chance left to prove herself before she’s officially on every producer’s shit list. At least, that's what her parents and agent are claiming. She doesn't really give a damn if she never makes another movie or not—she just wants to get on with her life, get back to her friends, and find her next escape. But Willow is broke. And whether she likes it or not, acting is the only job she knows how to do.

When she accepts the lead in a beach drama, Willow finds herself in Hawaii. And in Hawaii, she finds Cooper, the gorgeous surfer hired to train her for her new role. With the bluest eyes she’s ever seen and the sexiest Australian accent she’s ever heard, Cooper’s different from the men she’s used to. He doesn't want to use her. And he refuses to let her fail. But when an old friend re-enters Willow’s life—a friend whose toxicity she’s been drawn to time and time before and whose presence brings about the painful memories she's tried so hard to suppress—Willow will have to choose between the girl she was and the person she’s becoming. The lifestyle that helps her forget the pain and the guy she’s falling hard for.

Viviana's Review:
I've read Emily Snow's "All Over You" and "Devoured" which I really enjoyed and was interested to see what her YA Mature story would be like. I'm not a big YA reader (I've said it once and I'll say it again, I've been there and done that already, don't need to relive the angst) and I'm not a huge fan of the new sub-genre New Adult or YA Mature because either you're an adult or not! I hate to see that one day they'll create a "Middle Adult" (ages 28 - 40) and then "Old" no wait " Vintage Adult" (ages 40 - 55) and "Antique Adult" (ages 55+). So as you can see its not the genre itself but the new labeling. Mention the ages of the main characters in the blurb and let me decide if I want to read about someone in their early 20s or late 30s. Thought you'd need to know this before I give you my thoughts on "Tidal".

Book Review: Devoured by Emily Snow

(Devoured Series, bk #1)
By Emily Snow

Sienna Jensen had no plans to return home when she graduated college last spring—after all, her dreams lie in California. But when she discovers her grandmother’s Nashville home has been foreclosed, and the new owner has started the eviction process, Sienna has no other choice but go back to Music City. And she comes face to face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she’d see again. The man who now holds the deed to her grandma’s estate.

When millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe finds the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom, he’s both infuriated and intrigued. He still can't get the night Sienna almost spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as it was two years ago. He craves Sienna more than ever. And just like everything Lucas hungers for, he’s determined to have her.

Now, Lucas will do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, even if that means making a deal with her: ten days with him, playing by his rules, and he’ll hand over the deed to her grandmother’s home. Though she agrees to the arrangement, Sienna is conflicted. Because of her duty to her family. Because of promises she’s made to herself and a past that still haunts her. And as Lucas’s game of seduction continues, and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world and even darker background, she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured.

Available for purchase at

Viviana's Review:
I had begun reading "Devoured" and then read on Goodreads that it was suggested that you read "All Over You" a prequel novella as it would assist in filling in some of the information and also get a better understanding of what happened between Lucas and Sienna. So I looked it up, got it and read it. You can read my review of "All Over You" here (Gave it 3.5 - I Really Liked It). After reading "Devoured" I would also recommend reading "All Over You" before you read "Devoured".

Lea's Review:
Dean and Olivia West are married from the start of this series.  Just knowing this alone gave me trepidations of reading the series.  How did I feel about a couple that was already bonded?  Will there be enough of my favorite ingredient of any love story which is tension?  How do you take a married couple and introduce additional dynamics to capture and maintain the reader’s attention?

Paul's Review:
Spider-Man does not normally instill terror, disgust, and loathing, as he is a superhero and saves the day.  However, the villain that the protagonist in this novel is battling, called Spiderman, does instill all of those feelings and more.

Guest Post: Driven by K. Bromberg

Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it…

I am the exception to the rule.

In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track.

Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline.

I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away?

Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?
